To anyone interested, gears of war 2 was announced.

Release date is next november. Anyone thinking about buying it, or too soon to judge?

My friend sent me an email as soon as he found out. I am buying it no matter what, the first game was freaking awesome and left me hanging for the second game. So I must have!!! I can not wait for it, gonna be so awesome!

Errr that isn't really a "trailer" in the way we are used to. It's more to emphasize that it is coming back. They won't release actual screenshots for a long time since it's only February and it won't be released until Nov. Expect screenshots to surface around June and July.

Is this one of those games where it'll be exclusive to the 360 for six months, then hop onto the Games for Windows bandwagon afterwards? A lot of things could happen from now until November, so I'm undecided. Gears of War was awesome though, and I'm hoping for a great sequel.

You could YouTube a gameplay-techdemo clip from GDC'08 with Gears of War 2 using the updated Unreal Engine. It showcases some things like soft body physics.

I hope this time the PC version comes out at the same time as the 360 version this time, so they can get the controls right.

Also, it pissed me off how they downgraded the PC version's graphics. Even when I maxed out everything there were effects missing. The PC has more graphics and processing power than the 360, so I don't see the point of this :\
